The Supreme Court and the Future of Democracy

This event has reached capacity.

The Supreme Court’s extreme supermajority is reshaping the Constitution and the country. Most recently it concocted broad immunity for presidents who break the law. All amid a cascade of ethics scandals involving Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and more. The Court combines vast power with minimal accountability. Once again, as in earlier times, a response to the Court has become a major political force. How can we respond to the Supreme Court? What reforms will make a difference? How can we make sure that the Supreme Court no longer threatens American democracy?
